Fear Not: Set, Stand, and See

January 7, 2012 · 2 comments

2 Chronicles 20:17 Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.

Why you ought to “FEAR NOT”:

1. Because of God’s character
2. God keeps His promises
3. God has a purpose in all things.

What to do:

1. Set…your heart, soul, affection…on HIM
Proverbs 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

2. Stand…steadfast in the faith. And quiet your heart and mind, and listen.
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

3. See…open your eyes to see God working.
Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

Psalms 64:10 The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.

Deuteronomy 31:8 And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.

Be blessed,
