I’m down to the last stack of my journals to peruse and…well…get rid of.  Getting rid of the early years of journaling, late teens, was easy; do I want anyone to find and read all that junk? Hardly!  The recent stuff, however, is harder because I’m still processing through a lot of the same things and they don’t feel *done* with.  And yet, the reason I write in my journal is to think, not necessarily to leave a record of my hashings.  Perhaps in another couple of decades, these too will feel more like “junk”.   I wonder what you all do with your own journals, if you keep them or not, and why.

Don’t do it!

I usually will purge my journals room anything that could hurt others. Other than that, I keep them all. It’s a good historical account for our children, a chance for them to get to know our younger selves.
